Clay 500

This was my first Clay 500 as a participant, but I did get to witness it last year during Carter's rookie year.

The Clay 500 is so much fun! We all bring in our bikes, scooters, or ride-on toys from home and RACE! This year the younger kids went first, so I got to strut my stuff across the tennis courts. At first I was pushing along with my feet while I rode but soon I realized I could go much faster if I just got off it and pushed it with my hands. Guess what? I was a winner!

Then it was Carter's turn. This year it was much more organized and the big kids took off in heats. Carter was very patient and waited until it was his turn. When it was, the big kids were OFF! Everyone had a great race and Carter even helped out his friend, Ava S. there at the end. He was a winner too!

We're waiting for the Indy Car teams to call us up to their race next May.
